Alexa Yakubovich (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University and Affiliate Scientist with Nova Scotia Health and the MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions (Unity Health Toronto). Her interdisciplinary research program aims to advance a structural understanding of interpersonal violence and related health inequities, with a particular focus on intimate partner violence. This work includes both (a) investigations of the social and structural determinants of violence and its health and social sequelae as well as (b) the design, implementation, and evaluation of interventions that account for these determinants.
