James (he/him) is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background in various roles across the globe. Currently serving as the Director of the Department of Healthy Living in the Municipality of Cambridge Bay, his focus is on promoting well-being within the community through program delivery. Prior to this, he held different roles in mental health where he provided support, treatment, and counselling to those facing mental health challenges arising from trauma, domestic violence, and sexual assault in Canada and across the globe. Through his department, he offers supports and various culturally appropriate services to marginalized groups and Indian residential school survivors.
